I guess an explanation is in order. See, even when I was little I held this truth to be self-evident: the best scenes in many Disney animated features are the trippy ones that usually occur when a character is out of it--asleep, drunk, or whatever. Examples: the pink elephant scene in Dumbo, the Heffalumps and Woozles scene in Winnie-the-Pooh, the scene in a Pluto short when he ends up painting all his puppies. . .
So of course I loved Alice in Wonderland, especially the Tulgey Wood and the forest you see before the Tulgey Wood. The forest is a lot like the inside of my head--all dark, with pretty glowy things. And there, of course, is the Cheshire Cat. I adored the Cat and Sterling Holloway (who did his voice) the second I saw Disney's Alice.
With this background, you can maybe imagine how much I loved Nekobus when my roommate first showed me her copy of My Neighbor Totoro. Even though the movie was in Japanese with Korean subtitles, I stopped having any doubts about its coolness when I saw that catbus.
Here are some crazy cat pictures for you to enjoy. If you can't see the really rad one in the fourth row, it's at http://www.sarcasmracing.com/serenity/Psychokats/ches2.gif. --Karen
(By the way, I have no intention of stealing anyone's images, so if I have something of yours lemme know and I'll give you credit/a link or remove the picture.) The top three are of just SOME of my many psychadelic grinning cats.

This image came in an email from my mom, which was entitled "How to tell which cat ate your drugs."

Check out this Louis Wain page! (Note: Louis Wain was a schizophrenic dude who drew cats. The art resulting from his cat-related perceptions is used as an example of the effects of schizophrenia in psychology classes--like the one I took in college. Here is a display of the art/illness progression.)
If you like crazy cats, be sure to check out Ernie!
This is my favorite edition of Alice in Wonderland so far, and this is the matching edition of Through the Looking-Glass.
