DOES ANYBODY ELSE NOTICE THESE THINGS?
--Reese's cookies are the reincarnation of Reese's Crunchy Cookie Cups. They're just a different shape. Not that I'm complaining.
--Spider-Man makes a guest appearance in the new Italian Job.
--Disco Stu is the name of a character on The Simpsons. It's also short for Student Discount.

--ALL the TV networks are in cahoots! Monopoly, anyone?
--Danny Elfman composes EVERYTHING! Well, only in movies and TV, and occasionally he lets John Williams or Alan Menken have a note in edgewise. Did you know that James Horner has been around quite a while? He did the music to The Journey of Natty Gann.

--Often on video, LD or DVD covers if there are two stars in the movie their names will be on the wrong sides (such as on Bed of Roses--it says "Christian Slater" above Mary Stuart Masterson and vice versa).

--J.K. Rowling repeats herself a lot in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix--which, I might add, could have been better proofread/edited, given the enormous number of people who preordered the book.
Some examples of the repetition:
About Umbridge (is she toadlike, really?):
Chapter 8, p. 146: "He thought she looked just like a large, pale toad. She was rather squat with a broad, flabby face, as little neck as Uncle Vernon, and a very wide, slack mouth. Her eyes were large, round, and slightly bulging."
Chapter 12, p. 238: "Harry was again reminded forcibly of a large fly perched unwisely on top of an even larger toad."
Chapter 12, p. 243: ". . .an unconvincing smile stretching her wide mouth. . ."
Chapter 13, p. 265: "Her bulging eyes narrowed."
Chapter 13, p. 269: "'. . .stuck in a room with that old toad. . .'"
Chapter 15, p. 313: "'. . .in case the old toad comes our way.'"
Chapter 15, p. 314: "Professor Umbridge's toadlike smile widened."
Chapter 26, p. 580: ". . .her bulging toad's eyes. . ."
Chapter 26, p. 595: ". . .stretching her toadlike face. . ."
Chapter 29, p. 665: ". . .her broad, flabby face. . ."
Chapter 32, p. 744: ". . .smiling widely. . .swelling toadishly."
About Snape (holy dark cold greasy alliteration, Batman!):
Chapter 24, p. 519: "said Snape silkily. . .Snape turned back to face them, sneering."
Chapter 24, p. 520: "Snape sneered. . .Snape said sleekly."
Chapter 24, p. 529. . .". . .Snape's cold voice came out of the corner. . .his cold black eyes fixed unblinkingly on Harry. . ."
Chapter 24, p. 530: ". . .looking directly into Snape's dark, cold eyes. . .his dark eyes glittering. . ."
Chapter 24, p. 533: "said Snape, sounding cold and unconcerned. . .Snape merely raised the wand to his temple and placed its tip into the greasy roots of his hair."
Chapter 24, p. 534: ". . .said Snape softly. . .asked Snape coolly."
Chapter 24, p. 535: "said Snape's cold voice."
Chapter 24, p. 536: "said Snape sharply. . .spat Snape."
Chapter 24, p. 537: "asked Snape sharply."
Chapter 26, p. 590: "said Snape softly."
Chapter 26, p. 591: "said Snape, his dark, cold eyes narrowing slightly. . .said Snape coldly. . ."
Chapter 26, p. 592: "A greasy-haired teenager sat. . ."
Chapter 26, p. 593: "Snape opened his mouth in a snarl. . ."
Chapter 28, p. 643: ". . .his oily hair swinging about his face."
Structure:
Chapter 28, p. 643-644: "Harry was sure that if Snape chose to wander off in a different direction once outside in the grounds, he, Harry, would not be able to follow James any farther."
Chapter 37, p. 820-821: "If he, Harry, had not been stupid enough. . ."
Etc.
