Hi Karen:

Just wanted to let you know that I appreciate your site. I too was a big Floppy fan and actually now do kids entertainment myself and credit Duane and Floppy along with other local children's personalities from the 60's, 70's and 80's for my current occupation. I just placed a link to your site from my site so hope that is OK. www.sillysallytheclown.com

Hello Karen , I would love it if you would post my message on the floppy site . I also would like to know if anyone has a VHS tape of the Christmas show on WHO that they would like to sell. I will pay S@H and other costs to watch what is for me a priceless part of my childhood. Also when you post my message my name is Tony Morgan ,my wife Kellie really did not understand the Floppy experince until I explained it to her (she grew up in Maquon ,IL) but after careful explanation I think she understands my feelings for a beagle that meant so much to an entire generation of children.I watch the small clips on your site and almost cry. Just to see any footage and to hear Duane and Floppy is incredible. Thank you for this wonderful site . Tony Morgan Galesburg IL . Anyone who has a VHS of the WHO Christmas Show that they would like to sell email me @ ktmorgan@grics.net

floppy will always be a part of me.My 3 year old daughter watches the video clips and wants to know "Where Is Floppy? I always say he is here in our hearts and minds and will never go away. Floppy is an american icon for IOWA raised children that never will die. I had the priviledge to beep Floppy's nose in Ottumwa when I was 4 years old (1969) and will never forget the experience. Duane Ellet was a man way ahead of his time and in this world of cartoons and NickToons he would have ruled the childrens scene.

Hi Karen:

My brother and I grew up in Nevada, Iowa and were big fans of Duane Ellett and Floppy! We are middle aged now and have kids of our own. I've told the jokes I heard on the Floppy show to my kids: What's the biggest pencil in the world.......Pennsylvania, Why did the man throw the clock out the window........because he wanted to see time fly, these were just a couple I remember. I couldn't figure out why Floppy could not remember these from one show to the next!

One time on the show, I'll never forget this, a boy came up with a riddle for Floppy. Floppy asked him what his riddle was and the boy said "is that your head or did your neck throw up!" Floppy (and Duane) were speechless and my brother and I laughed till we cried.

Floppy was a big part of our lives back then. It is good to remember.
